The Home Service and Office Skills program was the 7th program in Singha R-Sa’s employment project for career development, following Boonrawd Brewery Company Limited’s policy to support those affected by Covid-19 through nationwide Singha R-Sa projects that provide vocational trainings for household support and career development.

Basic Home Electrician


The first course in the Home Service technical training program was held on 14-15 August. The course aimed to provide an overview of the electrician career and marketing opportunities, with experts from Institute of Vocational Education: Central Region 1 in Pathumthani as instructors. The 2-day course was divided into the following sections: basic electrical service theories and appropriate and safe choices of equipment, electrical appliance installation, home electrical system installation, plug, switch, light bulb checking and braker testing, which are vital for technicians because they can be used to develop career in various specializations in the same field.

Air-Conditioning Unit

Technician Training:

A Highly-Popular and Well-Paid Career

Another popular course fully-booked in only a short time was the air-conditioning unit course on 29-30 August. The 2-day course was packed full with knowledge and techniques shared by instructors from Thonburi Polytechnic College, Bangkok. The course covered fundamental topics such as different systems in the air-conditioning unit, safety practices for repairment, and practical sessions. An A/C cleaning site visit to different households and temples was also organized for the participants to get a hands-on experience.

Although several months have passes, Covid-19 is still present. In both courses, Singha R-Sa arranged checkpoints for the participants and a set of equipment per participant in order to avoid sharing objects and comply with the Covid-19 prevention policy.

This program wouldn’t have been successful without the help from 6 institutions, including Institute of Vocational Education: Central Region 1, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi in Pathumthani, Thonburi Polytechnic College, Bangkok, Suratthani Technical College, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan in Khonkaen, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna in Chiangmai, and the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (Headquarter) who provided instructors for both the completed home electrician and the air-conditioning technician courses, as well as the plumber training course, basic graphic designing course, computer technician course, and e-commerce course scheduled in the upcoming months.
