Encouragement for

Medical Staff

Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, our medical staff has been our heroes. They work hard with little to no rest. Some of them barely go home because they are handling patients in hospitals. To support patient treatment and show appreciation, Boonrawd Brewery Company Limited donated 50 million baht to 6 main public hospitals offering COVID-19 treatment, including Siriraj Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital, Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute, Ramathibodi Hospital, Thammasat University Hospital, Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute, and other hospitals in major provinces. The donation was for the hospitals to purchase protective equipment for medical staff, such as face masks, face shields and PPE. They could also purchase screening equipment and ventilators, in order to improve treatment efficiency.

In addition to the monetary donation, Boonrawd Brewery Company Limited also provided food and Singha drinking water for the doctors, nurses and hospital staff. Singha R Sa represented the company and visited hospitals in Bangkok and other provinces to offer frozen food, retort food and cooked food from various Food Factors restaurants, as well as Singha drinking water.

Equipment Support

Apart from the food, Boonrawd Brewery Company Limited also cares about the safety of medical staff. Singha R Sa and Singha R Sa student networks from Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, Wang Klai Kangwon Campus were assigned to make 50 protective acrylic boxes for medical staff to use during the COVID-19 screening process, for the safety of the staff. The boxes were given to hospitals in Prachuab Kirikhan and Petchaburi provinces, as well as hospitals in the south, such as Prince of Songkhla Hospital in Songkhla, Vachira Phuket Hospital, Suratthani Hospital and Yala Hospital.

Sharing Mission

The COVID-19 outbreak widely affects people and impacts everybody. Many people have been quarantined at home and have no jobs. Their income dropped and their lives have been very tough, as frequently seen from the news. Singha R Sa helped affected people at the community near no. 127 bus garage (opposite to Mangkon Kamalawat 2 Temple) in Bangbuathong district, Nonthaburi province, and the area around Singha Beverage Company Limited’s manufacturing facility, by donating Singha drinking water, Pundee rice, dehydrated food and essential items, to provide primary support.

Throughout the missions to support medical staff and help people affected by COVID-19, one thing Singha R Sa always focus on is the concept of social distancing and hygiene. In addition to maintaining distance between each other, all members wear face masks and gloves and clean their hands with disinfectant gel, in order to ensure safety for both Singha R Sa members and people receiving donated items.

The COVID-19 situation might be tough, but we at Singha R Sa
believe that we will get through this. We will fight together until then.
