In September, northeastern Thailand was affected by the Podul and Kajiki windstorms. There was heavy rain and raging floodwater flowing into the city, agricultural areas, official places, and schools. In some places, the floodwater was roof high, so the victims were forced to evacuate their homes.

Singha R-SA listened to the news daily. Then, we traveled to #5 District of Ubon Ratchathani Province, including Capital, Warinchamrab, Piboonmangsahan, Tarnsum, and Kieangnai districts. We gave them 400,000 liters of drinking water, 50 tons of rice, 10,000 sets of cooked food, and necessary items, such as flashlights, candles, lighters, medicine, sanitary napkins, and milk powder.

During the mission, 1 – 27 September, we gratefully received many wonderful supporters, including Ei Hua Ubon Part. Ltd., Channel One, Channel 3, Dhammakiri forest temple, the 6th Infantry Battalion, Ubon Ratchathani Cooking Club, Surin Cooking Club, and volunteers from Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat and Ubon Ratchathani Universities.

We acknowledged that the serious flooding in Ubon Ratchathani was caused by rapidly rising water from the Mul River, so we decided to settle in Ubon Ratchathani for many days and promised the victims continued support until the problem was resolved.
