Inspiration from the Late King, His Majesty King Rama IX

The “100 Singha Sufficient Schools” Project was initiated to fulfill the concept of a self-sufficient economy by our late King, His Majesty King Rama IX.

Beginning of Creativity

Mr. Piti Bhirombhakdi and the Board of Directors of Boon Rawd Brewery Ltd. allocated SINGHA R-SA a budget of 30,000 baht to devise a way to show students the simplicity of life, and incorporate real-life learning programs to 100 schools all over Thailand. The projects included a ranch for 100 chickens, vegetable and 500 mushroom plantations and ponds for 800 catfishes.

Generation to Generation

Knowledge was gained as to how to raise chickens and catfishes, and grow vegetables and mushrooms by students from 100 Singha Sufficient Schools. This is good educational learning for a self-sufficient society and can be passed on to future generations.

Today is a Seedling, Tomorrow is a Production.

By participating in this project, children will be able to feed themselves, share produce with their families and sell the extra crops to local markets to earn money for their lunch fund.

Our children will grow like the seedlings, to become high-quality products of our great country, Thailand.
