Storm
Passes
but Damage Remains

In late April, a severe storm battered Nongsinuan Sub-District of Ratchaburi Province. The roof of Nongsinuan School building was blown away and many rooms were covered by debris and broken equipment. The outside of the building was also damaged.

BeforeWe Started

Singha R-SA always follows the news concerning damage from windstorms. We heard that students from Nongsinuan School needed some help because they had no place to study. To solve this problem, Singha R-SA convened a meeting with our volunteers and decided to undertake this mission.

Clearing

     the Area

When we reached Nongsinuan Sub-District, the first activity was to clear the area ready to begin our mission the next day. Singha R-SA, together with some local soldiers and villagers cleared the storm debris and the broken roof away. We picked up all waste and removed everything which was dangerous from the area.

Rebuild the Roof

The next day, we started work on the school roof very early. We learned how to thatch the roof tiles with an expert from the village who joined our mission. The expert was the main thatcher and we were the helpers until the job was done.

Fulfilled by Food

The best thing after working hard on this mission was the food which the villagers and our volunteers cooked together. Each menu was so delicious and gave everyone energy to continue working for the whole day.

Skillful Volunteers

Singha R-SA thanked all the volunteers from Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, Chom Bueng Village Rajabhat University and Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen Campus), the soldiers and the villagers for joining us in our mission. Without the help from all you guys, we would not have been able to complete our mission on time.

Every mission can be accomplished with unity of propose!
