A sufficiency economy school project arises from the sufficiency economy philosophy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Piti Bhirombhakdi (Todd), the director of this project who use the philosophy to be a guideline to create a sustainable school lunch project.

Develop Learnings to have a Better Life

A concept of the sufficiency economy school project is how to manage 30,000 baht (Approximately 1,000 U.S. dollars) efficiently in the school. By using these amounts of money to make more money and using for a next project for students. The students will learn about management and self-discipline because they together take care plantation lands, mushroom houses, catfish ponds and feed chickens. These knowledges will be with them everywhere and can build on in the future. To make the sufficiency economy school is real, SINGHA R-SA collaborates with agricultural knowledge from village philosophers.

AREA Award

Toward to a success of that project, Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. won the 7th Asia Responsible Awards 2017 in the major of Social Empowerment from Enterprise Asia organization. Enterprise Asia is the project that is recognized in Asia. It has an objective in award prizes to outstanding entrepreneurships who are outstanding in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable organization development.

Products from learning, incomes from experience are beyond the food for consumption because the students can harvest products for sale. It is the beginning of “Farm Por Dee” brand.

Move Forward to Keep on the Royal Wish of the King

From the beginning of this project at the end of 2016 until now, there are many schools around the country where joint with the sufficiency economy school project. But for keeping on the royal wish about the sufficiency economy of King Rama IX, SINGHA R-SA never stops at this point. We will move forward this project and encourage the sufficiency for the sustainable self-reliance.
